Under USAID – Ram up East Grant Program for supporting to the Municipalities in Afghanistan, Bureau for Reconstruction and Development started the Gender and Governance Program. Under the program 12 fellows will be provided with the job training and mentorship and upon the completion of the fellowship they will be able to get a job within the municipalities or other organizations. 90 males and females from the local government, civil society organizations and universities will be provided with the training sessions on Gender and Governance, leadership, conflict management and resolution.

90 women will be provided with business development skills and they will be given the opportunity to exhibit their products and will learn how to identify market linkages for their product. The program will be implemented in provinces of Bamyan, Ghazni and Wardak and it will be completed after the duration of one year.
